Buying Land In Kenya

Tatu City developer, Rendeavour, have embarked on another large real estate project in Kiambu County. The Oaklands Ruiru project has seen the firm secure 1400 acres of prime property. The land which has undergone sub-division and master planning, has been put up for sale to individual buyers.

The project is located in Kiambu County, just north of Tatu City, 8km North-West of Ruiru Town and Thika Super Highway.

Seated in the heart of Kiambu’s coffee belt, the plots range in size from 1/8 acre to 1 acre and above, with a price range of between KES 1.8m and KES 10m for an acre.

The management of Oakland says bulk purchasers (5-acres and above), will be offered full title while smaller buyers will get a certificate of lease adding that planning approvals have been secured for mixed-use development.

Kiambu is one of the fastest growing counties by land value according to a 2017 counties report by HassConsult. This high demand for land by developers for residential as well as commercial purposes has seen coffee farms converting into concrete establishments at an ever-increasing rate as some land owners move to cash in quick, avoiding the market woes sometimes associated with the coffee trade.

Rendeavour is the largest urban developer on the continent with land holdings of over 30,000 acres across Africa.
