Egyptian Construction Giant Wady El Nile Sets Up Kenyan Office

Egyptian construction giant, Wady El Nile has set up shop in Nairobi in a bid to grow its presence on the continent.

The company has made the move to compete against the dominant Chinese construction firms currently sweeping up most of the big construction projects in the region.

Wady El Nile brings to Kenya’s construction industry years of experience in the construction of affordable housing projects, and a competitive edge with regards to the country’s housing outlook.

The firm said it is open to collaborations.

“Our new office in Nairobi presents an opportunity to focus on building stronger relationships with our customers and their communities,” said Engineer Hany Dahy, the Chairman and Managing Director of the firm.

Dahy said the company’s payment strategies of up to 7-year instalments will be boost housing affordability to Kenyans following the government’s goal of “Affordable Housing” for all Kenyan social classes.

The company also highlighted its extensive experience in developing health-related infrastructure with over 850 health units, emergency departments, blood banks, and radiology centres, pitching itself for potential partnership with the government on its health agenda.

Wady El Nile has been in operation since its establishment in 1980.
