Lancet Housing Co-operative Society Ltd have broken ground on the Sh.1.2 billion Lancet Village mixed use development.
Located in the suburb neighbourhood of Katani, Lancet Village is 25km from the Nairobi Central Business District and only 10 minutes drive from Syokimau Main Railway station and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport(JKIA).
Lancet Village is a Gated Community made up of 2-Bedroom Apartments, 3-Bedroom Apartments, 4-Bedroom Maisonettes, Commercial area and Kindergarten each with ample parking spaces for both the residents and visitors.
The developer aims to construct 188 units within a span of 24 to 30 months and on the 10-acre piece of land. The project was initiated by the Lancet Housing Co-operative Society which belongs to the staff members of the medical laboratory services operator Lancet Kenya.
Lancet officials have said that 50 per cent of the units have already been booked by Lancet but the remainder are open to the public on offset plans. On the prices, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments can be purchased for Sh. 5 million, Sh. 6.5 million and Sh. 10 million.
The units are designed in courts to enhance security, identity and smaller management units. According to the project’s designers, the gated community will provide spacious outdoor areas while retaining privacy adding that Lancet Village brings out a living space that integrates well with the community living within and the natural landscape.
Katani area has benefited from infrastructural developments in the area including the ongoing Katani road and the SGR. Increased accessibility has raised residential interest in the area.
