Uhuru Heights Ltd is planning to put up apartments containing 400 housing units in Ruaka, Kiambu County. The project which will be built on 4.49 acres will have 90 units on each acre of land in five separate blocks of 15-floor apartment on each piece.
Residential units will include 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and cascading duplexes with floor areas ranging from 57sqm to 158sqm. In addition, the mega residential development will have 450 parking lots for residents and visitors
The project is located within easy access of Limuru Road, Northern Bypass, the Two Rivers Mall, Runda Estate and Ruaka Town. Kiambu County has seen rapid population growth with current population estimated to be 2.4 million people according to the 2019 census, rising from 1.632 million 10 years ago.
The rise in population and relative affluence in the county has created more demand for goods and services including residential housing which has left investors scrambling for a piece of the action.
Notably some of the major planned developments and master plans over the past five years have been conceived in Kiambu County. These include Tatu City, Sasini master plan, Two Rivers development and the Actis-Improvon backed Nairobi Gate development.
The project is expected to cost about Ksh. 2.7 billion in construction.
